Joe Moore Biography
Joe Moore is an American journalist and television personality who was born and brought up in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America. Currently, he works at KHON-TV in Honolulu, Hawaii, the state’s Fox affiliate and highest-rated station, as the principal news anchor. Has been with KHON-TV since 1982, making him one of the longest-serving news anchors in the United States.
Moore covers a wide range of news stories, including politics, crime, weather, and human interest stories. He has won numerous awards for his journalism, including Emmy Awards and Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Moore is also a professional actor and playwright. He has written and performed in several plays and musicals. He also serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations in Hawaii.
Moore served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War with the Army’s 25th Infantry Division in Cu Chi, Vietnam, as well as the American Forces Vietnam Network in Saigon with close friend Pat Sajak.
