There’s no denying that Michael Dorn has made an indelible mark on the entertainment industry – both on screen and behind the scenes. The American actor and actor found fame playing the role of an officer, Lt. JG Worf, in the Star Trek franchise.

Regular cast member Michael Dorn made history by making more appearances in the franchise than any other actor in Star Trek’s history. His total appearances span over 272 TV episodes and five movies.

After his time with the Star Trek franchise, the famed actor made guest appearances in a few independent feature films in supporting roles. Some of the films include Lessons for an Assassin which was released in 2001, Shadow Hours which came in 2000 and the Santa Claus trilogy where he played the role of “The Sandman”.

Biography & Age

Michael Dorn was born in Luling, Texas on the 9th day of December 1952. However, the rising star spent his formative years in Pasadena, California and later went to Pasadena City College where he studied radio and television production.

After graduating from college, young Michael initially pursued a career as a music performer. He was actively touring with different rock bands in San Francisco and Los Angeles; however, he later switched to acting and made his debut in 1976 when he made a guest appearance in Rocky

Beyond his acting career, Michael is a skilled pilot. As a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the accomplished pilot flew with “The Thunderbirds” – United States Air Force (USAF) demonstration squadron, and “The Blue Angels” – United States Navy Flying Demonstration Squadron .

He is also a proud owner of several jet craft including the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star which he calls his “spaceship”, a North American Sabreliner and a North American F-86 Saber.

Several aviation organizations have benefited from his services, including the Air Force Aviation History Foundation, where Michael Dorn is very active on its advisory board.

Due to Michael Dorn’s private nature, not much is known about his family life, but the actor was born to Fentress Dorn, Jr and Allie Lee. It is currently unknown if he has any siblings or if he was an only child.

Very few celebrities have managed to achieve the kind of privacy that Michael achieved in his private family life. This feat alone certainly deserves applause.
